Family rewrite: after holiday arguments, a relative's vivid retelling supplies a line nobody said. Weeks later several people "remember" the line as live dialogue.
Incident channel contamination: an outage happens. Slack fills with theories. Your later timeline includes a failed deploy you never verified - only read about while stressed.
Headline fill-in: you see a short clip, then a caption names a motive. Your memory of the clip starts including cues that were only in the caption.
